NEET UG 2026 Cancelled After Paper Leak In Rajasthan, Probe Underway

New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has cancelled the NEET UG 2026 following allegations of a ‘guess paper’ leak. The NTA announced the cancellation on social media platform X.

The decision comes over reports of alleged paper leak concerns over the  exam held on May 3. As lakes of students are concerned, the government has now stepped in, ordering a CBI probe and announcing a re-examination.

“Further communications, including the re-conducted examination dates and the re-issued admit-card schedule, will be issued through the official channels of the Agency,” the NTA wrote on X.

In its social media post, the NTA has clarified that it took the decision on the basis of the inputs subsequently examined by NTA in coordination with the central agencies, and the investigative findings shared by the law enforcement agencies and in order to ensure that there is transparency in the system.

“The inputs received by NTA, taken together with the findings shared by the law enforcement agencies, established that the present examination process could not be allowed to stand,” the exam body said.

The elite exam-conducting authority further pointed out that the matter has been referred to  the Central Bureau of Investigation for a comprehensive inquiry into the allegations.
