
Nine Fake Invigilators Held In UP Board Exams
On the fifth day of the ongoing UP Board Examination, a cheating scam was uncovered at the Bholanath Ram Sukh Patel Inter College in Chakshyam Kiraon, Phulpur, Prayagraj, during the first shift of the UP Board Exam 2025. Nine fake invigilators and two impersonators were caught during the High School Science and Intermediate Accountancy exam.
According to PN Singh, DIOS in Prayagraj, the static magistrate was conducting a routine inspection at the examination center when a fake invigilator was noticed. A case was registered against eight individuals at Mauaima Police Station for being involved in impersonation as invigilators.

In Auriya, the principal of Siddharth Inter College, Anchal Shakya, and the clerk, Kuldeep Kumar, were sent to jail a day after the clerk was found helping a student cheat in a biology paper of the UP Board Intermediate examination. Anchal Shakya is the sister of Samajwadi Party MP Devesh Shakya, who is the manager of the college located in Bhatora, Bidhuna, Auraiya.
Same day one impersonator each from Bulandshahr and Etah district was also found. The incidents raises concerns over the rising cases of fradulence in the board exams.
By the end of March 4, a total of 40 FIRs had been lodged in connection with the ongoing UP Board examination. Also, a total of 12 cheating incidents were recorded.
