The weather forecast agency said that the maximum temperatures will reach 40 degrees Celsius in the state. While in some pockets the temperature is expected to go beyond 43 degrees Celsius.

Those violating the directives will be charged under the Disaster Management Act 2005, the commissioner said. The regional center has advised people to take precautionary measures while going outside during the peak period between mid-day.
