Thiruvananthapuram: The SAFI Institute of Advanced Study (Autonomous), Vazhayur, has achieved a remarkable double victory at the Young Innovators Program (YIP) 7.0, organised by the Kerala Development and Innovation Strategic Council (K-DISC). The institution bagged both the State Best Institute Award and the District Best Institute Award (Malappuram), marking an exceptional recognition of its innovation-driven academic culture.
Adding to the institution’s distinction, Mr. Vasil Vafeeque, the college’s YIP Facilitator, was honoured with the Best Facilitator Award at both the state and district levels, underlining SAFI’s holistic approach to nurturing innovation through effective mentorship and leadership.
Across various departments, SAFI students submitted over 684 innovative ideas spanning science, social development, and commerce — reflecting the institute’s commitment to fostering creativity and problem-solving for societal advancement.
“Our mission is to channel the intellectual potential of students towards social transformation and sustainable progress,” said Prof. E. P.
