Produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures, along with Amul V Mohan and Anshul Mohan, The Sabarmati Report movie claims to be based on the real events surrounding the burning of the Sabarmati Express in Godhra in 2002, killing 59 peoplemostly Hindu pilgrims and karsevaks returning from Ayodhya. The movie is alleged to be political propaganda dressed in a factual thriller, presenting only one aspect of the incident.
