Adarsh Nagar Election: BJP's Raj Kumar Bhatia Wins

BJP candidate Raj Kumar Bhatia leads in Adarsh Nagar assembly constituency with a significant margin of 1,14,82 votes. Bhatia has secured a massive 5,25,10 votes, surpassing AAP candidate Mukesh Kumar Goel who secured 4,10,28 votes.

Congress candidate Shivank Singhal is in third with 5,460 votes.

In the 2020 Delhi Assembly elections, AAP’s Pawan Sharma won the seat by defeating BJP’s Raj Kumar Bhatia by a margin of 1,589. AAP had a vote share of 45.2 percent in 2020 in this seat.

In the 2015 Delhi Assembly elections, he won the seat defeating BJP’s Ram Kishan Singhal by a margin of 20,741 votes. AAP had a vote share of 51.36 percent in 2015 in this seat.

In the 2020 Assembly polls, AAP secured a massive victory, winning 62 out of 70 seats, while BJP won 8 seats. The Congress failed to secure any seats in the election.

Delhi has an electorate of 1.5 crore, with 83.49 lakh male voters and 71.73 lakh female voters. Meanwhile, third gender voters are 1,261 as per the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Delhi.

Over 699 candidates stood for elections in the national capital, with the Aam Aadmi Party and Congress fielding 70 candidates each. The Bharatiya Janata Party had 68 candidates, with two seats for its allies Janata Dal (United) and Lok Janshakti Party (LJP).

The counting of votes commenced at 7 am, with initial trends emerging by 8 am. The final results are expected by 6 pm, with real-time updates available on the Election Commission’s official websites.
