Assam Election Results 2026: Hitendra Nath Goswami Won Jorhat Seat Defeating Gaurav Gogoi With 23,182 Votes

BJP is running ahead with 78 seats in Assam, followed by INC on 21 seats, BOPF with 9 seats, AGP with 8 seats, and AIUDF with 2 seats. In the Jorhat constituency, Hitendra Nath Goswami has been declared successful after defeating Gorav Gogoi of the INC, with 23182 votes.

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma is also leading ahead of Bidisha Neog of INC with 63029 votes.

Currently, the BJP is running ahead in three states, Assam, Puducherry, and West Bengal. In the other 2 states, including Kerala and Tamil Nadu, it has failed to attain the success so far.

In Kerala, INC is running ahead on 50 seats, while CPI(M) is trailing on 18 seats and IUML on 20 seats.

In Puducherry, AINRC has won 9 seats, while IND and BJP are ahead on 2-1  seats, INC and DMK on 1-1 seats each.

In Tamil Nadu, TVK has made history by leading on 108 seats while ADMK and DMK are running ahead on 51-66 seats, PMK and INC on 4-3 seats.
