Bihar's Late Don Shahabuddin Son Osama Sahab Leads On RJD Seat With 15044 Votes

Osama Shahab, the RJD candidate in Raghunathpur constituency is leading ahead of the JDU candidate Vikas Kumar Singh with 15044 votes as per the ECI official data.

Shahab is the son of former Siwan MP and bahubali (strongman), late Mohammad Shahabuddin. Convicted in multiple cases, including a double murder, Shahabuddin died in 2021 due to COVID-19-related complications.

In 2020, Raghunathpur legislative assembly constituency had total 296780 electors. Total number of valid vote was 158840. Rashtriya Janata Dal candidate Harishankar Yadav won and became MLA from this seat. He secured total 67757 votes. Lok Jan Shakti Party candidate Manoj Kumar Singh stood second with total 49792 votes. He lost by 17965 votes.

In 2015, Raghunathpur legislative assembly constituency had total 265711 electors. Total number of valid vote was 145413. Rashtriya Janata Dal candidate Harishankar Yadav won and became MLA from this seat. He secured total 61042 votes. Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Manoj Kumar Singh stood second with total 50420 votes. He lost by 10622 votes.

In 2010, Raghunathpur legislative assembly constituency had total 208830 electors. Total number of valid vote was 103493. Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Vikram Kunwar won and became MLA from this seat. He secured total 33474 votes. Communist Party Of India (marxist-leninist) (liberation) candidate Amar Nath Yadav stood second with total 18362 votes. He lost by 15112 votes.
