BJP candidate Janak Singh is leading ahead of RJD candidate Shailendra Pratap in Taraiya constituency with 3792 votes as per the ECI predictions.

In 2020, Taraiya legislative assembly constituency had total 302679 electors. Total number of valid vote was 166185. Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Janak Singh won and became MLA from this seat. He secured total 53430 votes. Rashtriya Janata Dal candidate Sipahi Lal Mahto stood second with total 42123 votes. He lost by 11307 votes.
