BJP has fielded CM Ramesh to run for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections held on May 13, phase 4. Congress fielded Vegi Venkatesh, meanwhile YSRCP has given ticket to Budi Mutyala Naidu in the Anakapalle Lok Sabha Constituency.
CM Ramesh
Chintakunta Munuswamy Ramesh who belongs to the Velama community in Andhra Pradesh, has been a two-time BJP MP (2012-2024) in the upper house of the parliament. CM Ramesh who is a businessman by profession has been a part of the public accounts committee in the Rajya Sabha. He has also been a member of the joint committee on the Forest (conservation) amendment Bill 2023, the House Committee, finance, tourism, culture, and Committee on transport.
As per the affidavit filed with the election commission, Ramesh declared his family net worth as 497 crore and MVV at 400 crore. This shows the increase in 92% increase in the last six years.
In 2018, CM Ramesh went on a hunger strike demanding a steel plant in Kadapa under the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act 2014.
In a recent case, the vehicle of the BJP candidate was allegedly attacked by the YSRCP cadre who accused him of killing the YSRCP leader, Mutyala Naidu.

The constituency was alternatively won by the Congress or Telugu Desam Party in the previous elections however in 2019, the YSR Congress Party won the parliament seat.
