People’s Mandate, Says Malvinder Singh Kang After Winning Maiden Victory In Anandpur Sahib

In the Lok Sabha Election 2024, Malvinder Singh Kang of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) secured his maiden victory in the Anandpur Sahib constituency. Kang won with a total of 313,217 votes, edging out his competitors with a margin of 10,846 votes against Congress’ Vijay Inder Singla and Dr Subash Sharma of BJP in Punjab.

Malvinder Singh Kang, a 45-year-old advocate, represents a new face in Punjab’s political arena. Holding a postgraduate degree, Kang has established himself as a prominent figure in Punjab.

His victory marks a significant milestone for both him and the Aam Aadmi Party in Anandpur Sahib. His background in law and advocacy played a crucial role in shaping his political agenda and connecting with the electorate.

Upon his victory, Kang expressed gratitude to the people of Anandpur Sahib, stating, “This is the people’s mandate, and I am having my maiden victory, I will be  committed to working tirelessly for the development and welfare of our constituency.” His win reflects a shift in the politics of the region, signalling a new era of leadership and governance for Anandpur Sahib.
