As the Haryana BJP government is all set for hattrick victory in the state, the party’s Yamunanagar candidate Ghanshyam Dass has also secured his third consecutive win from his sitting constituency.
Ghanshyam Dass defeated Congress candidate Raman Tyagi by a margin of 22437 votes. The counting for the Haryana assembly elections saw the Congress leading during the initial hours. However, as counting progressed, the saffron party came ahead, maintaining the lead till the end. BJP has won 48 seats while the Congress 37.
The result appeared opposite to what the exit polls suggested. Notably, the Congress party has voiced concerns regarding the EVM, integrity and counting process, refusing to accept the result.
