Breaking his radio silence after the Congress’ failure in Haryana assembly elections, Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi thanked the people of Union Territory while stating that the party is analysing “unexpected results of Haryana.”

The Congress leader said they will inform the Election Commission about the complaints coming from many assembly constituencies in Haryana. Several candidates had alleged EVM malfunctions, leading to the grand old party flagging its concerns about the “integrity of the democratic process.”

Rahul Gandhi in a post on X further expressed his determination to continue the fight for “rights, for social and economic justice, for truth, assuring the party will keep raising the voice of the people of Haryana. He also thanked the people of of Jammu and Kashmir, stating the verdict a victory of Constitution and democratic self-respect.

“My heartfelt thanks to the people of Jammu and Kashmir—India’s victory in the state is a victory of the Constitution, a victory of democratic self-respect. We are analyzing the unexpected results of Haryana. We will inform the Election Commission about the complaints coming from many assembly constituencies. Heartfelt thanks to all the people of Haryana for their support and to our Babbar Sher workers for their tireless hard work. We will continue this fight for rights, for social and economic justice, for truth, and will keep raising your voice,” Rahul Gandhi wrote in an X post on Wednesday.

As counting for the 90-member assembly constituencies ended, the BJP emerged victorious, securing 48 seats. The Congress, which had hopped for a return to power after a decade, lost the state, securing only 37. However, the vote share of both Congress and the BJP has increased, with both parties managing to acquire 39 percentages.
