Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate and incumbent MLA Sanjeev Jha secure his fourth win with 99,013 votes secured. Leading with a margin of 18,409 votes, Jha defeated Janata Dal (United) candidate Shailendra Kumar who secured 80,604 votes.
In the 2020 Delhi Assembly elections, Sanjeev Jha won the seat for a third time defeating JD(U) candidate Shailendra Kumar by a margin of 88,158. AAP had a vote share of 62.81 percent in 2020 in the seat.

In the 2015 Delhi Assembly elections, Jha defeated BJP’s Gopal Jha by a margin of 67,950 votes. AAP had a vote share of 63.82 percent in 2015 in the seat.
While in the 2013 Delhi Assembly elections, Jha first won in the seat defeating BJP’s Shri Krishan by a margin of 10,351. The AAP had a vote share of 37.07 percent in 2013 in the constituency located in North Delhi.
A total of 14 candidates were in the fray for the Burari Assembly seat in the 2025 Delhi Assembly election.

The competition is high in Delhi this time with the chances of the BJP forming a government in the national capital after 27 long years. According to the Election Commission, the BJP is leading in 41 constituencies while the AAP is leading in 28 seats.
