Chapra Election Results 2025: BJP's Chhoti Kumari Leaves RJD Behind In Early Trends

Chhoti Kumari of BJP is running ahead of Shatrughan Yadav of RJD with 1627 votes, as per the recent early trends by Election Commission of India.

Chhapra assembly seat has a unique distinction of electing either a Rajput or Yadav since 1967 belonging to various parties. The dominating caste, after delimitation is Vaishya which accounts for 65,000 of the 2.89 lakh voters. The vaishya community has 10-12% population in Chhapra.

Chapra assembly constituency is one of the 243 assembly constituencies in Bihar state. It is a General category assembly seat. It is situated in Saran district and is one of the 6 assembly segments of Saran Parliament Seat.

In 2020, Chapra legislative assembly constituency had total 330176 electors. Total number of valid vote was 168361. Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Dr C N Gupta won and became MLA from this seat. He secured total 75710 votes. Rashtriya Janata Dal candidate Randhir Kumar Singh stood second with total 68939 votes. He lost by 6771 votes.

In 2015, Chapra legislative assembly constituency had total 305079 electors. Total number of valid vote was 158247. Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Dr C N Gupta won and became MLA from this seat. He secured total 71646 votes. Rashtriya Janata Dal candidate Randhir Kumar Singh stood second with total 60267 votes. He lost by 11379 votes.
