Chhattisgarh Election Results Live Updates: BJP Seeks Comeback, Will Congress Get A Thumping Win?

The stages is set for the assembly election results in the state of Chhattisgarh along with the other three states- Telangana, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. The 2023 Chhattisgarh assembly election witnessed a strong tussle between Congress and BJP. The voting was held in two phases – November 7 and 17. The grand old party is looking forward to continue the governance for another term. While, BJP is hoping for a comeback in the state it ruled for 15 years from 2003 to 2018. The Congress and BJP fielded candidates in all 230 seats. Meanwhile, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) contested in 183 seats, Samajwadi Party on 71 and Aam Aadmi Party on 66.

10:00 pm December 3, 2023: As per election Commission report, BJP won with a thumping majority sacking all 52 seats while Congress managed to win in 34 seats.

07:53 pm December 3, 2023: BJP leader and former Chhattisgarh CM Raman Singh wins Rajnandgaon seat by 45,084 votes against Congress” Girish Dewangan.

07:20 pm December 3, 2023: BJP chief Arun Sao defeated Congress leader Thaneshwar Sahu from Lormi seat by 45891 votes.
