Senior Congress leader A. K. Antony on Thursday said that the people of Kerala are prepared to question what he described as the anti-people policies of the past ten years as polling continues across the state for the 2026 Kerala Legislative Assembly elections.

Speaking during the ongoing voting process, Antony said that democratic Kerala is waiting to respond to the policies implemented over the last decade.

“Democratic Kerala is waiting to question the anti-people policies of the last ten years,” he said.

Expressing confidence in the prospects of the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF), Antony also stated that the electorate would deliver a strong verdict against the present government.

Polling is currently underway across all 140 constituencies in Kerala, with voters turning up at polling booths to exercise their franchise. Election officials have reported peaceful voting in most parts of the state so far, while the counting of votes is scheduled to take place on May 4.
