Banswada constituency election, Poocharam Srinivas Reddy of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) who is current and second speaker of Telengana legislative assembly  secured his 5th consecutive win, affirming his unwavering political dominance. The incumbent MLA clinched victory with an impressive lead of 76,278 votes, outperforming the Indian National Congress (INC) candidate  Eanugu ravinderReddy who secured the second position with 52,814 votes, while the BJP”s Laxmi Narayana Yendala stood third with 23,685 votes.

Banswada constituency consists nine mandals, namely Banswada, Birkoor, Nasrullabad, Varni, Kotgiri, Rudrur, Chandur, Mosra, and Pothangal, the Banswada assembly constituency witnessed Poocharam Srinivas Reddy”s triumphant return. Having been the MLA in the past four assembly elections, he secured victory in 2014 with 65,868 votes, surpassing the INC candidate Balaraju Kasula. In the subsequent 2018 election, Parige maintained his winning streak with 77,943 votes.
