Hatkanangle Lok Sabha constituency, located in the Ichalkaranji subdivision of Kolhapur district in Maharashtra, is all set to witness the upcoming political battle. The region is known for its thriving textile industry and numerous small-scale manufacturing factories. The Hatkanangle Lok Sabha seat comprises six Vidhan Sabha seats, namely Shahuwadi, Hatkanangle, Shirol, Ichalkaranji, Shiral, and Islampur. In these Vidhan Sabha seats, the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has elected Members of Legislative Assemblies (MLAs).
The Hatkanangle constituency has set the stage for a fierce competition between Shiv Sena (UBT) and Shiv Sena (SHS) in the upcoming elections. Satyajeet Patil is the candidate of Shiv Sena (SHS), while Dhairyasheel Mane, who has been serving as the MP for Hatkanangle, is the nominee of the Shiv Sena (UBT). As both candidates possess strong support bases and track record of serving the people, the race for the Hatkanangle seat is expected to be closely contested. As the campaigns are heating up, both parties are focusing on highlighting their respective candidate”s strengths and vision for the constituency.
In 2019 Lok Sabha election, Dhairyasheel Mane won against Raju Shetty of the Swabhimani Shetkari Paksha (SWP) with a margin of 96039 votes. Through the victory, he emerged as a formidable politician in Maharashtra’s political landscape. Mane”s impressive victory can be attributed to his strong campaign strategy, effective grassroots mobilisation, and the support of the party”s loyal voter base. SWP candidate Raju Shetty secured the second position in the election with a total margin of 489737 votes . It is worth noting that the 2019 Lok Sabha election marked a departure from the previous election results in 2014.
