For Narendra Modi’s swearing in as the Prime Minister of India for a third term, and the NDA government’s third tenure, several big shots were invited, including Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and superstar Mohanlal. Over 115 BJP leaders from Kerala have been invited.
Modi directly invited Mohanlal for the function. Reportedly, the star may not attend the ceremony, and has informed the inconvenience. He is currently busy at a shooting location for his latest untitled movie. Pinarayi Vijayan received the invitation at the Kerala House. The CM will also not attend the function, as per media report.
Earlier in 2014, Suresh Gopi, the actor turned politician also got same invitation from Modi. He accepted the invitation and was present at the function. Gopi is the lone BJP MP from Kerala. He was elected from the Trissur Lok Sabha seat.

Narendra Modi’s NDA government will take oath from Rashtrapati Bhavan today at 7.15 pm. President Draupadi Murmu will administer the oath. About 9,000 guests including heads of state, religious leaders, miners who conducted rescue operations in Uttarakhand tunnel, railway employees manufacturing the Vande Bharat, beneficiaries of central projects, ambassadors of ‘Vikasit Bharat’ will participate.
The BJP leaders Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh and Nitin Gadkari are likely to be retained as ministers in the NDA 3.0 cabinet. As per the News 18 report, Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu, the TDP winner from Srikakulam, and Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani, are likely to make the cut.

The other BJP leaders to be included are DK Aruna, D Arvind, Basavaraj Bommai, Biplab Dev, Suresh Gopi, Piyush Goyal, Prataprao Jadhav, Sanjay Jaiswal, Pralhad Joshi, Govind Karjol, PC Mohan, Bijuli Kalita Medhi, Dharmendra Pradhan, Jitin Prasad, Daggubati Purandeswari, Nityanand Rai, Eatala Rajender, Kishan Reddy, Kiren Rijiju, Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Manmohan Samal, Bandi Sanjay, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Jugal Kishore Sharma, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Dushyant Singh, Jitendra Singh, Sarbananda Sonowal, and Shantanu Thakur and Shivraj Singh Chauhan.
