Defying the exit polls that predicted a clean sweep for BJP with 300-400 seats, the saffron party far from its ‘400 paar’ only won 240 short of 32 seats required to the majority. Thus the party had to depend on its allies to form the government and therefore the allies in return are seeking lucrative ministerial posts for their parties.

As per the earlier Economic Time report, Ravneet Singh Bhittu, and Ramnath Thakur from JD(U) will be taking oath as a minister in the oath-taking ceremony.

Former Karnataka CM and JD(S) leader HD Kumaraswamy and yet another two leaders from the state of Karnataka are expected to be sworn in as ministers today.

As per the reports, the ministerial berths are expected to go to JD(U) MP Lalan Singh, Sanjay Kumar Jha, Sunil Kumar and Kaushalendra Kumar.
