9 Terrorists Hideouts Targeted Under 'Operation Sindoor' By Indian Armed Forces

On Wednesday at 1:20 am, the Indian Armed Forces launched strikes against Terrorist spots in Pakistan under ‘Operation Sindoor‘. As per the India’s defence ministry, India took a precise and restrained response to the Pahalgam Terror Attack that claimed 26 lives, including one Nepali citizen. Focused strikes were carried out on 9 terrorist infrastructure sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

“Importantly, no Pakistani military facilities were hit, reflecting India’s calibrated and non-escalatory approach. This operation underscores India’s resolve to hold perpetrators accountable while avoiding unnecessary provocation. A detailed briefing on the operation will follow later today”, ministry added.

The terrorists’ hotspots on which the Indian Army attacked under Operation Sindoor include

  1.  Markaz Subhan Allah, Bahawalpur (Punjab, Pakistan), Headquarters of Jaish-e-Mohammed (planning and training centre for the Pulwama attack)
  2. Markaz Taiyyaba, Muridke (Punjab, Pakistan), Lashkar-e-Taiba training camp and Launch pad of Jaish-e-Mohammed (Infiltration into India took place from this camp)
  3. Sarjal/ Tehra Kalan, Narowal (Punjab, Pakistan), Launch pad of Jaish-e-Mohammed (Preparations for infiltration in India for the Pahalgam started on this hotspot)
  4. Mehmoona Zoya Facility, Sialkot (Punjab, Pakistan), Operational site of Hizbul Mujahideen (Preparations for infiltration took place here)
  5. Markaz Ahle Hadith, Barnala (Bhimber, PoJK), Lashkar-e-Taiba’s infiltration center Infiltration from here in Poonch-Rajouri-Reasi sector
  6. Markaz Abbas, Kotli (PoJK) Jaish-e-Mohammed Center
  7. Maskar Raheel Shahid, Kotli (PoJK) Launch pad of Hizbul Mujahideen

At least 3 civilians have been killed and several wounded in Indian-administered Kashmir amid heavy exchanges of artillery fire between Indian and Pakistani forces.

Pakistan’s Information Minister Attaullah Tarar warned India to face Pakistan’s “very fierce response,” after India fired missiles killed at least eight people including a child.

India’s missiles struck 9 locations in Pakistan-administered Kashmir and in the country’s eastern Punjab province. Reportedly, one strike hit a mosque in the city of Bahawalpur in Punjab, where a child was killed and a woman and man were injured.

While casualties have reported on both sides and Pakistan has claimed that it has shot down five Indian aircraft. “So far, I can confirm to you that five Indian aircraft – including three Rafale, one SU-30 and one MiG-29 – and one Heron drone have also been shot down,” Pakistan military spokesperson Lt-Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhary has said in a video shared by Reuters. However, India has not responded to the claims yet.
