Kuchaikote Assembly Results: Battleground For JDU and INC
At the Kuchaikote seat, Hari Narayan Singh (INC), Baliram Singh (BSP), Vijay Kumar Choubey (JSP), Amrendra Kumar Pandey (JD(U) and Braj Bihari Bhatt (JSJD) are running for the 2025 assembly elections.
In the last Assembly Election held in 2020, Amrendra Kumar Pandey from the JD(U) won the Kuchaikote seat with 55.85% of the total votes polled and a victory margin of 74359 votes over Kali Parsad Pandey of the INC.
Amrendra Kumar Pandey of JDU has been winning the seat since 2010. In the last assembly elections, the JDU candidate’s vote share was 41.19 percent, while the INC Kali Prasad Pandey’s vote percentage was 29.76.
It is a General category assembly seat. It is situated in the Gopalganj district and is one of the 6 assembly segments of the Gopalganj (SC) Parliament Seat.
This year’s electoral fight in Bihar is expected to be tough between the NDA government and the Grand Alliance, also known as the Mahagathabandhan. The alliance consists of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Indian National Congress (INC), and Left Parties, including Communist Party of India (CPI), CPIML, CPIM, and Indian Inclusive Party (IIP) with Tejashwi Yadav as the chairperson.
