The Indian National Congress candidate Nisat Alam has secured victory in Pakaur constituency after defeating AJSU candidate Azhar Islam with a large margin of 86029 votes. The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha has secured the highest number of seats which is 34 out of 81 seats in the Jharkhand Assembly elections 2024. BJP’s current number is 21, INC’s 16, RJD 4, and CPI (ML)(L) is at 1.
A total of 17 candidates were in the election fray for the Pakur Assembly seat in the 2024 Jharkhand Assembly election. Jharkhand Assembly election 2024 votes for Pakur were cast on November 20, 2024, and the counting of votes took place on November 23, 2024. There were a total of 3,82,152 registered voters for the 2024 Assembly election in Pakur Assembly constituency. Out of which 1,88,789 were male, 1,93,362 were female, and 1 of the third gender.

In the 2019 Jharkhand Assembly elections, the INC candidate Alamgir Alam won this seat after defeating Veni Prasad Gupta of BJP with a huge margin of 65,108 (26.34%) votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 51.86% in 2019 on Pakaur constituency.
In the 2014, Alamgir Alam of INC won Jharkhand Assembly elections after defeating Akil Akhtar of JMM with a margin of 18,066 (7.68%) votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 35.41% in 2014 from this seat.

In the 2009 Jharkhand Assembly elections, Aquil Akhtar of JMM won in this seat defeating Alamgir Alam of INC by a margin of 5,676 which was 3.36% of the total votes cast for the seat. JMM had a vote share of 36.8% in 2009 in this seat.
