Seema Puri Assembly Election Results: AAP's Veer Singh Leads
In Seemapuri constituency, Aam Aadmi Party’s Veer Singh Dhingan is leading with a vote margin of 553 votes as per the election commission data. He had secured 5,572 votes. Meanwhile, KU. Rinku, BJP candidate is second with 5,019 votes.
Seemapuri is one of the Delhi’s 70 assembly constituencies and it falls under the North East Delhi Lok Sabha constituency. The candidates in the fray from the constituency are – Veer Singh Dhingan of the AAP, Ku. Rinku of the BJP and Rajesh Lilothia of the Indian National Congress.

In the previous election, AAP’s Rajendra Pal Gautam had won by a margin of 56,108 votes. The LJP’s Sant Lal came in second by securing 32,282 votes. In the 2020 Assembly elections, Delhi had recorded 61.46 per cent voter turnout for the 70 assembly constituencies. Meanwhile, in the 2015 assembly elections, Rajendra Pal Gautam from AAP won this seat with 79,777 votes with a vote share of 63.04% and secured victory with a margin of 48,821 votes.
The Congress party had won three consecutive terms from 1998 to 2013. While, the saffron party was only able to win once. After ending the Congress rule in 2013, the Arvind Kejriwal led AAP formed the government in the national capital and further it had completed its second consecutive term (2015 to 2025). The national capital had recorded a voter turnout of 57.70 per cent till 5 pm in the single phase of assembly elections.
