Telangana Assembly Election Result: Victory For Malreddy In Ibrahimpatnam

Congress candidate Malreddy Ranga Reddy defeated Manchireddy Kishan Reddy, current MLA of Ibrahimpatnam. The electoral battlefield witnessed intense completion among key candidates, including Congress’s Malreddy Ranga Reddy, BRS’s Manchireddy Kishan Reddy, and Nomula Dayanand of the BJP, who serves as BJP’s state executive member from Telangana state.

Malreddy emerged victorious with 1,26,506 votes while Manchireddy came second with 89,806 votes. The BJP candidate who came third garnered 15,790 votes.

The Telangana state assembly elections took place on November 30th, encompassing a total of 119 seats. Ibrahimpatnam is one of 14 constituencies in Ranga Reddy district. It is part of the Bhuvanagiri Lok Sabha constituency.

In the assembly elections of 2014,  TDP’s Manchirreddy Kishan Reddy emerged victorious over independent candidate Malreddy Ram Reddy. Manchireddy received a total of 48,397 votes while Malreddy received 37,341 votes. Afterward, INC’s Kyama Mallesha secured the third position by receiving 36,865 votes. At that time, the number of voters in the constituency was 2,30,388.

In 2018, Manchireddy Kishan Reddy defeated BSP’s Malreddy Ranga Reddy as the former polled 72,581 votes and the latter polled 72,205 votes. This time, TDP came third with 18,053 votes. The total electorate was 2,57,711 in 2018.

Overall out of the total 119 seats, congress has comfortably won Telangana and BRS is second in seats table. BJP is currently in the third position in the total seat share. Along with Telangana, the Assembly elections were held in four other states including Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, and Mizoram. The results of three states except Mizoram have also been announced on Sunday, while Mizoram results have been released on Monday.
