In the Vasai constituency of Maharashtra, the BJP candidate Sneha Dube Pandit is leading with 76,364 votes.
As the BJP candidate, Sneha Pandit leading the race with a margin of 2,877 votes, the incumbent minister Hitendra Thakur of the Bahujan Vikas Aaghadi party is trailing behind with 74,004 votes so far. As the Vaasi assembly constituency is being represented by Hitendra Thakur (BVA) for nearly a decade, BJP is expected to bring a change through this election.

Dube, who hold a widespread support from Hindutva groups is leading in the early trends. Dube is the daughter of veteran politicians and social workers Vivek and Vidyulata Pandit who have widespread support, especially among the adivasis.
In the 2019 election, Hitendra Thakur won the seat for the second consecutive time on the BVA ticket by securing a total number of 1,02,950 votes. Whereas, Vijay Govind Patil of the Shiv Sena party bagged 76,955 votes. In the 2014 election, the BVA candidate won the election and replaced Vivek Pandit, an independent candidate by securing a total of 97, 291 votes.

According to data released by the Election Commission of India, in the 2024 Maharashtra Assembly elections, the estimated voter turnout in this Maharashtra constituency was 60.46%. In 2019, this seat registered a turnout of 62.45%, while it was 65.57% in 2014 and 59.15% in 2009. The estimated turnout in 2024 was +1.99% compared to the 2019 turnout.
