The BJP candidate Anant Kumar Ojha is running ahead of Md. Tajuddin of JMM with 12694 votes in Rajmahal constituency in early hours. However, the JMM candidate finally secured victory with 43432 votes.
The Jharkhand Legislative Assembly Elections were held for a total of 81 constituencies, in two phases—the first on November 13 and the second on November 20, 2024. The results are to be declared today. As per the Election Commission of India, the vote counting will start on November 23 at 8 a.m.

Currently, the JMM, a part of the INDIA alliance led by Chief Minister Hemant Soren, is Jharkhand’s ruling party. The National Democratic Alliance, led by the BJP, includes other parties such as the All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU), Janata Dal (United), and other allies that are another major contending party in this Assembly elections.
From the Rajmahal constituency, BJP fielded Anant Kumar Ojha and Md. Tajuddin from JMM is running against Ojha. Md Sahadat Hussain (SP), Nandlal Sah (LAP), Motilal Sarkar (JKLM) and Rameshwar Mandal (PPI(D) are other contending candidates for the Rajmahal constituency.

In 2019, BJP candidate Anant Kumar Ojha won the Rajmahal Assembly elections with 88904 vote share and defeated Md. Tajuddin of AJSUP. While JMM candidate Ketabudding Sekh secured 11.7% votes.
