Tera Mujhse Hai Pehle Ka Naata Koi…Jaane Tu.. even years later, the resounding melody of love continues to echo in our hearts. One such melody from the much loved movie Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na, Imran Khan’s debut in the Bollywood industry, is making the rounds again. On the occasion of the film’s 16th anniversary yesterday, the cast once again hummed the heartfelt tunes.

Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na received both commercial and critical success and received various accolades when it was released on July 4, 2006. Marking the bash of the 16th anniversary of the film, the production house of Aamir Khan released the memorable melody clip of the crew singing the iconic song.

The production house shared the video clip on their official social media with the caption, “16 years and we are still singing this song for everyone we love.”

In the video, the cast of the film Imran Khan, Genelia D’ Souza, Prateik Babbar, Manjari Fadnis, Sugandha, Murli Sharma, and Ayaz Khan can be seen singing the melody along. This recreation of the song radiates the emotional bonding the cast continues to share. The post also evoked nostalgia and a desire to enjoy the movie on the big screens again. The comment section is filled with petitions by fans to re-release the film in theaters. When a fan asked, “What’s stopping you guys from re-releasing the film?” Imran replied, “Can we petition @aamirkhanproductions to make this happen?”

Directed by Abbas Tyrewaala, the film expresses the life of two best friends Jai and Aditi. They refuse to have romantic feelings but realize their love for each other once they start dating different people. It marked Tyrewala’s full-fledged screenwriting and directorial debut. The film’s soundtrack was composed by A. R. Rahman with lyrics written by Abbas Tyrewala.
