Imran, known for speaking about his experiences in the film industry, shared the story during a recent conversation with journalist Samdish Bhatia, highlighting how he has always prioritised personal well-being over money or luxury perks.
Recounting the incident, Imran said it took place during the promotions of a film in Dubai. After spending an entire day doing interviews, he was completely exhausted and preparing to fly to London early the next morning for another round of promotions.

“It was around six in the evening. We were done with Dubai promotions, and I was done physically,” Imran said. “I wanted to go back, take a hot shower, have a drink, and sleep because I had to wake up at 6 am for a flight.”
At that point, event organisers approached him with an offer to inaugurate a store by cutting a ribbon, in exchange for a gold iPhone.
Imran said he declined the proposal without any hesitation.
“I didn’t need a gold iPhone,” he recalled. “I told them, ‘You keep the iPhone. I want a hot shower, a drink, and a good night’s sleep.’ I said, ‘Main ja raha hoon.’”
The actor described the incident as a “life learning,” reinforcing his long-standing belief that health and peace matter more than extravagant gifts or extra money.

“There was another actor — much, much richer than me — who went to do that store launch for the gold iPhone,” Imran said, without naming the person.
