Kiran Rao and Aamir Khan have accelerated the Oscar campaign of their film Laapataa Ladies by announcing the new title of it to increase the recall value of the film internationally.
The duo, via the social media handle of the production house, Aamir Khan Productions, introduced the English title of the film, Lost Ladies. The makers also unveiled a new thematic poster for the Oscar-nominated film and its fresh title.

The thematic poster captures the essence of the film, highlighting the adventurous journey of characters Phool and Jaya. It also hints at the twists and turns of the hilarious journey, promising an engaging watch for the audience.

Released on March 1, 2024, Laapata Ladies revolves around an incident that occurs after a marriage. The story is set in 2001 in rural India; two brides get separated on a train journey, and thus a police officer, Manohar, investigates the missing case. The film received a standing ovation when it was screened at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2023.
Laapataa Ladies is jointly produced by Aamir Khan Productions and Kindling Pictures and presented by Jio Studios. The movie features an ensemble cast including Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Shrivastava, Chhaya Kadam, and Ravi Kishan in significant roles.
