Aamir Khan Plans A Christmas Release For Sitaare Zameen Par (image: instagram.com/aamirkhanproductions)Bollywood Superstar Aamir Khan‘s next project is Sitaare Zameen Par. After the box office debacle of his previous and big budget movie Laal Singh Chaddha, superstar is hoping for a comeback with this upcoming film. The actor has already begun shooting for the film in which he will play the lead role.
In his recent interaction with TV9, Aamir Khan gave some updates on Sitaare Zameen Par and said that he is eyeing for Christmas release this year. “My next film as a lead actor is Sitaare Zameen Par. We are trying to release it by the end of this year, on the occasion of Christmas. It is an entertaining film, I like the story. The shooting of the film has begun.”
In an earlier interview, actor said that Sitaare Zameen Par will explore the same theme that dealt in his 2007 film Taare Zameen Par; but the film is “the next level of Taare Zameen Par, it is like part 2. It is not the same story and the characters are also not the same,” Outlook quoted as Aamir Khan is saying. Adding further, he said that Sitaare Zameen Par will be an entertaining film but looking at the same topic with a “different perspective”.
In Sitaare Zameen Par, Genelia Deshmukh will join as the female lead, opposite to Aamir Khan. This will feature the first on-screen collaboration between the two actors.
Laal Singh Chaddha was Aamir Khan’s return to movies after four years. After that, he appeared in a cameo role in the film, Salaam Venky.
