The last rites of the veteran actor Delhi Ganesh, who died on November 9, were fulfilled today morning, and his mortal remains were cremated with Air Force honours in Ramapuram, Chennai.
Actor Delhi Ganesh, 80, died due to ill health. His mortal remains were kept at his residence in Chennai for friends and families to pay their last respects. A day after the star’s demise, ceremonial respects were paid by his fellow servicemen today, reflecting the admiration and reverence he held. The Indian Air Force (IAF) personnel paid tribute to Delhi Ganesh by placing an IAF ensign on him.

Apart from being a renowned actor, Delhi Ganesh also holds a legacy as a dedicated former member of the Indian Air Force. Before stepping into the world of cinema, the veteran actor served in the Indian Air Force for ten years, from 1964 to 1974.
He then entered Tamil cinema and established himself as a versatile actor, particularly in the genres of comedy and supporting roles. He also worked with the top stars in the Tamil film industry, including Rajnikanth, Kamal Haasan, and Vijay.
Several cinema stars and politicians attended the funeral of the actor to pay their last respect to the talented one, who was awarded the Kalaimamani by the Tamil Nadu state government for his achievement in cinema.
