Actor Fahadh Faasil Reveals He Has ADHD Disorder, Diagnosed At The Age Of 41 (Photo on X Adarsh M @411ae8870b4541f)
Fahadh Faasil, the iconic South Indian actor who, with his acting adeptness marveled the cinephiles, recently revealed that he is an ADHD patient and was clinically diagnosed with the disorder. The noted Malayalam actor, whose latest movie Avesham crossed 150 crore, stated that the diagnosis was made at the age of 41.
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder common in children. The disorder affects the brain”s ability to regulate attention, behavior, and impulse control. It also affects the adult. People with ADHD is seen restless and having trouble concentrating.
The 41-year-old actor was speaking at a Peace Valley event after dedicating a Peace Valley Children”s Village at Kothamangalam on Sunday. Peace Valley Children Village is a charitable trust working to serve abandoned children and those with mental challenges. The trust run by the Human Care Foundation provides them with education with the help of psychiatrists and counselors.
The Pushpa fame actor said that as he was roaming around the Children”s Village, he asked one of the doctors if it was easy to cure ADHD. “He told me it can be easily cured if it is diagnosed at a young age. I asked whether it can be cured if it is diagnosed at the age of 41. I am clinically ADHD diagnosed,” the actor said while speaking to the children in the village.
During his speech, the actor said that his wife and mother often tell him he does not know how to talk in public. “I can deliver dialogue properly only in the movies,” the actor said. The actor then stated that he received some light from the faces found in the village, adding that he would extend all the support he could to the organization. Fahaadh Faasil concluded his speech by saying that he believed he was one of them and hence would meet them again.
His latest Avesham has been receiving widespread acclaim for his outstanding performance in the movie. The movie has also been praised for dynamic action sequences, stunning cinematography, captivating musical score, and theatrical experience.
