Nayanthara’s upcoming Netflix documentary, “Nayanthara: Beyond The Fairy Tale,” has landed in controversy after actor Dhanush filed a Rs 10 crore copyright infringement case against the makers.

The issue started when the trailer featured a three-second clip from “Naanum Rowdy Dhaan,” a film produced by Dhanush.

In response, Nayanthara’s husband, director Vignesh Shivan shared an old motivational video of Dhanush on Instagram, taking a sarcastic jab at him.

In the video, Dhanush talked about spreading love and positivity. Vignesh captioned the post, “Live and let live… spread love… at least for the sake of innocent fans who believe in all this!”

He also attached pictures of the legal notice sent to Netflix India by Dhanush’s lawyer. However, Vignesh has now deleted the post.

Meanwhile, Vignesh shared the disputed clip on his Instagram Stories, allowing everyone to watch it “for free.”

Nayanthara has also spoken out against Dhanush sharing an open letter on her Instagram handle. She slammed Dhanush for “stooping to an all-time low” and questioned his character.

The actress pointed out that the disputed clip was just three seconds long, shot on personal device and already publicly available on social media. She expressed shock at Dhanush’s demand for Rs 10 crores in damages.
