Avengers: Endgame Returns To Theatres Today With New Footage Ahead Of Doomsday

Marvel Studios has brought Avengers: Endgame back to theatres with a special presentation titled Avengers: Endgame: Encore, giving fans another chance to experience the 2019 blockbuster on the big screen while also offering new material connected to the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday.

The re-release arrived in Indian theatres on September 25, 2026, in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.

Unlike a routine re-release, Encore comes with additional footage and an exclusive look at Avengers: Doomsday, which is scheduled to release on December 18, 2026.

Marvel has positioned the new theatrical presentation as a way of reconnecting Endgame with the next major chapter of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The original Avengers: Endgame, released in India on April 26, 2019, concluded the Infinity Saga and brought together characters including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Black Widow, Hulk, Hawkeye, Ant-Man and Captain Marvel for the battle against Thanos. The film was directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, with a screenplay by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.

The Encore version retains the original story but adds new material.

Reports on the theatrical presentation indicate that the added footage is designed to establish a connection with Avengers: Doomsday, rather than simply bringing back deleted scenes from the original film.

The re-release is also being presented in premium formats, including IMAX, 4DX and Marvel Studios Presented in Infinity Vision, with the film available across several theatrical formats in India.

The film continues to feature its original ensemble cast, including Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Karen Gillan, Don Cheadle, Danai Gurira, Gwyneth Paltrow, Benedict Wong and Tessa Thompson, with Josh Brolin as Thanos.

The Encore presentation arrives at a significant point for Marvel, just weeks before Avengers: Doomsday. Robert Downey Jr. is returning to the MCU in the new film, this time as Victor von Doom, while the Russo brothers are also returning to direction.
