Trailer of the upcoming crime thriller movie Bhakshak has released. Helmed by Pulkit, the movie has Bhumi Pednekar in lead role. The film will be streamed on Netflix from February 9th onwards.

The movie revolves around an orphanage and mistreating of the girls in the orphanage. Inspired from true events, the movie tries to look into the sexual assault case of girls in the shelter home of Munawwarpur. Bhumi Pednekar appears in strong willed, fearless investigative journalist named Vaishali Singh. Aside from Bhumi Pednekar, the movie also stars Aditya Srivastava, Sai Tamhankar, and Sanjay Mishra in pivotal roles.

Bhakshak is produced by Gauri Khan and Gaurav Verma under Red Chillies Entertainment. It also marks Red Chillies Entertainment’s return to streaming space after the 2022 movie, Darlings.

Taking to his X (formerly twitter0, Shah Rukh Khan shared the trailer, and said that Bhakshak is a story of “resilience that needs to be told”.

 

Talking about her role as Vaishali Singh, Bhumi Pednekar said, Vaishali Singh is a “force to be reckoned with”, as she takes up her battle with the “powerful”. Announcing about the official trailer, Bhumi Pednekar said, “Insaan ya Bhakshak? Samay aa chuka hai chun ne ka!! (human or eater?, time for choosing has come)”.
