Day 2 Salaar Box Office Collection: Movie Nears Rs 300 In 48 Hours, Suffers Drop India

The movie Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire broke the records of 2023 releases by minting Rs 90 crore on its opening day, marking the highest box office record in the year. However, Prashanth Neel’s film suffered a massive drop, accounting for 60 % on the second day. According to the data by Sacnilk, the movie collected Rs 55 crore on Saturday as per the early estimates. The total collection in the domestic market touched 145.70 crores, while the global collection reached Rs 295 crore.

The thriller movie has, however, touched 295 in just two days, reaching an impressive milestone in its box office. It also outperformed Sharukh Khan’s Jawan, and Pathan, Vijay’s Leo and Rajinikanth”s Jailer. The movie is confronting Shahrukh Khan’s Dunki at the theatres. Dunki was released on December 22 while Salaar was released on December 23. Due to the severe competition, Dunki seems to be struggling, by earning less comparatively. Dunki earned Rs 75 crore in India’s revenue in the past three days.

The success of the salaar at the box office will be a boost to Prabhas’s upcoming releases. The actor is reportedly starring in the most expensive Indian movie, Kalki 2898 AD.

However, Shahrukh Khan’s Dunki has made a surge in its collection on the third day, earning Rs 26-27 crore on Saturday, though it suffered a comparatively lower box office record due to the release of the Prabhas’ action thriller, Salaar.
