Lokesh Kanagaraj, the director, who is known for uniting the big heads of Tamil cinema and exciting the audience with special cameos, is now reintroducing an iconic duo of Kollywood. Guess who is starring with Superstar Rajinikanth in Coolie?

The recent updates on Superstar’s upcoming venture Coolie, have been offering goosebumps to the audienceWith Rajinikanth,  Tollywood King Nagarjuna, and Malayalam actor Soubin Shahir on board, Lokesh introduced actor Sathyaraj into the world of Coolie. And if you don’t get the hype for this casting, worry not.

Sathyaraj-Rajinikanth, the celebrated duo of the 90s, is marking their reunion after 38 years in the Tamil cinema. With a nice little dose of nostalgia, the update has made fans recollect the golden days of the 90s. While introducing Sathyaraj on board, Lokesh wrote on X, “Kicked to have Sathyaraj sir joining the cast of Coolie as Rajasekar. Welcome on board sir.”

The duo once stormed Kollywood with their iconic pairing in almost six films, with Sathyaraj mostly playing the antagonist. Mr. Bharath in 1986 marked the last collaboration between the two. As the director has been uniting the big heads under his LCU (Lokesh Cinematic Universe) banner, this pairing of Rajinikanth, Sathyaraj, and Nagarjuna has created a buzz among fans.

Previously, director Lokesh united actors Kamal Haasan and Suriya in his 2022 release, Vikram. His star-studded Leo marked the collab of actors Arjun Sarja, Sanjay Dutt, Gautam Vasu Dev Menon, and a special cameo by Kamal Haasan, expanding the LCU.
