Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and his wife, dancer and choreographer Dhanashree Verma are reportedly heading for a divorce. The couple, who tied the knot in December 2020 has been facing issues in their marriage, sources close to the couple told Times Of India.
Dhanashree, who gained fame after participating in the reality TV show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11 has been quite active on social media, but her recent posts have sparked speculations about her marriage.
The couple’s fans have noticed that they unfollowed each other on Instagram, and Chahal deleted all his pictures with her. Meanwhile, Dhanashree has unfollowed Yuzvendra but has not deleted any pictures with him.

The report reveals that the divorce proceedings have not been finalised yet, but the couple has decided to go their separate ways. The exact reasons for their separation are not known yet.

The divorce rumours surrounding Dhanashree Verma and Yuzvendra Chahal gained momentum in 2023 when Dhanashree dropped ‘Chahal’ from her Instagram profile, sparking speculation about their marriage. This change came on the heels of Yuzvendra’s cryptic Instagram story, “New life loading,” which further fueled the rumours.
The couple tied the knot on December 22, 2020, and shared their adorable love story on the popular dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11.
Dhanashree has been also at the receiving end of massive backlash on social media for posting a picture with choreographer Pratik Utekar.

The photo, which shows Pratik with his arms wrapped around Dhanashree has been deemed “too cozy” by netizens, who have slammed Dhanashree for sharing an intimate picture with another man. Earlier, Dhanashree’s name was linked to Shreyas Iyer and rumours of marital discord between the couple had also surfaced.
To fuel the reignited fire, Kamal R Khan, aka KRK, took to the social media platform X and claimed that the couple is separated.
“When Cricketer Chahal got married with Actress Dhanashree Verma, then only I predicted about their divorce. And finally, they are separated. Chahal looks like a Maha Lukka and Dahnashree is a very hot girl. So Chahal was 100% wrong to marry her,” tweeted KRK.
