According to him, his wife had been in a relationship with a personal named Anoop Kuttysankaran for over six months. Anoop’s wife provided him screenshots of the messages and hotel booking details as proof of the affair, and he shared it on X.

He then said that after confronting it with his wife, they decided to move with divorce which comprised a financial settlement wherein he required to pay her Rs 9 crore and a monthly sum of Rs. 4.3 lakh, along with shared custody of their son. However, he alleges that his wife refused to follow the agreement and took their child to the U.S. to strengthen her position in the divorce case. Following, he filed an international child abduction case, and a US judge ruled in his favour, ordering to return the child.

Later, Sankar and his wife reached a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Chennai and as part of the settlement, aside from the financial arrangement which Sankar agreed to pay, Dhivya was asked to deposit their child’s passport in a common locker, but he alleged that she refused to follow it. “She started claiming that the MOU is not valid and she wants more and will go to the US again to file a divorce,” Sankar said in the post.

When Sankar refused to return their son, he alleged that she filed a kidnapping complaint. Following, Police searched him at multiple locations. He also alleged harassment from Chennai police, who reportedly pursued his friend who had helped pick up the child. Sankar then said in the post that his family has gone into hiding due to persisting pressure from authorities and that he plans to file a “don’t harass” petition in court.

Dhivya’s Allegations

In a recent press conference in Chennai, Dhivya alleged that Sankar had “kidnapped” their son and was a “sex predator”. Sankar then made counter argument over each claims she has made in an another post.

In response to wife’s “kidnapping” allegations, he shared screenshots where he states, his wife had “voluntarily instructed” when he should pick up their son from her house as per the mutually agreed terms, as per the terms of the MOU custody agreement.

Sankar also contradicts his wife’s claim that he “forced” her to sign the MoU against her will by sharing an email exchange between their lawyers in the US, which appeared to show the both parties had agreed to a “mutual consent divorce in India” and shared custody of their son.

By sharing a court ruling, Sankar also disputed his wife’s claim that he forced her to come to India from Singapore. The ruling show that she was ordered to return the child, but no details regarding the case was shared.

Dhivya also alleged that Sankar is a “sex predator”, and he recorded porn videos of her and distributed them. He claims that she made these allegations before Singapore police and later in Washington, but no evidence was located, and ruling was in his favour.

Regarding her allegation on fraud by transferring matrimonial assets to trusts, Sankar claims that those were his shares in Rippling, a company that he had co-founded and she had no involvement in it.

Continuing further, Sankar claimed that their son studied in the best school in South East Asia in Singapore, but his wife “abducted” him to the US and placed him in a public school.

“She abducted him to the US for 5 mos to support her divorce. Put him in a public school. Disallowed all contact with me. Brainwashed my child that his father abandoned him. Did not even allow me to deliver the letter I wrote to him. Was a cruel period,” Sankar said in the post.

Sankar then stated that he would return the child on one condition, “she does not abduct the child again.” He wanted son’s passport to be secured in a joint locker, as agreed in the MoU and also wanted to follow the custody schedule and return the child back to him as per the 50/50 custody arrangement.

Sankar and Dhivya met while studying at the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli (NIT Trichy). They got married 10 years ago.
