The most-awaited Shah Rukh Khan starrer Dunki will be on big screens today to feast the eyes of all King Khan fans. Helmed by Rajkumar Hirani, Dunki will be released worldwide today. The film will hit over 4000 screens in the country and over 13k shows.

The advance booking for the movie has already accelerated to a record place. Celebrities and fans are queueing up in lines to watch the film on the first day for the  first show. The trailer and the songs from the movie have already garnered a lot of buzz soon after its release.

Dunki follows an emotional journey of a group of friends who want to move abroad, in nut-shell it’s all about the exciting journey of those who choose an unconventional route as the Donkey route.

As per Sacnilk.com report, the movie is expected to earn an estimated Rs 30 crore net in India on its first day in all languages. But the movie will face a clash with Prabhas’ Salaar and Jason Momoa’s Hollywood superhero film Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom on Frida, December 22. The three films will compete with each other over the extended Christmas weekend.

The movie based on illegal migration also features Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Vikram Kochhar, Anil Grover, and Boman Irani in pivotal roles. With Dunki, the King Khan is aiming for his last blockbuster of the year. The actor kick-started the year with Siddarth Anand-directed action entertainer Pathan in January, which collected over Rs 1000 crore globally. And that’s not it, the superstar then went on to break his own record with Atlee’s action thriller Jawan, whose world-wide release gross earning were over Rs 1100 crore.

Produced by Rajkumar Hirani and Gauri Khan, this film is a collaboration between JIO Studios, Red Chillies Entertainment, and Rajkumar Hirani Films. Dunki is written by Abhijat Joshi, Rajkumar Hirani, and Kanika Dhillon.
