Shah Rukh Khan”s much-awaited movie, Dunki is to hit theatres on December 21. After the back-to-back successes of Pathaan and Jawan, fans are excited for Bollywood superstar”s Christmas release. Shah Rukh Khan kick-started the movie”s promotion in Dubai and it was during the interaction at an event, he called Dunki as his “best film”.

In the video clip from the promotional event, Shah Rukh Khan is being asked “Three words for Dunki” and to which he replied that Rajkumar Hirani”, “My best film,” “Please watch on 21st December.” When Shah Rukh Khan said Dunki is his best film, the host exclaimed “What” in surprise. Hearing his answers, the crowd erupted into accolades and screamed in excitement. The promotional video clip went viral on social media.

While talking about Jawan and Pathaan, the 58-year-old actor said: “So when I made Jawan, I thought I made a film for boys and girls but I didn’t make anything for myself, then I made Dunki. So this is my film. This film is very close to my heart. When I was doing Pathaan, many people who write about films, those who apparently know about films more than the filmmakers, were saying what kind of roles I was doing, so I really felt that I should do films that come from my heart and this includes all the films that I did this year. I started the year with Pathaan, which was always ladies first, and I want to end the year with a film for myself. So, please watch Dunki on December 21. Everyone will find something in the film that will touch their heart. The film will make you laugh also.”

Dunki is directed by Rajkumar Hirani, and aside from Shah Rukh Khan the movie features Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Dia Mirza, Boman Irani, Satish Shah, Vikram Kochhar, Anil Grover, Dharmendra, and many others. Dunki is written by Abhijat Joshi, Rajkumar Hirani, and Kanika Dhillon. As Dunki“s nationwide advance booking started on Saturday (December 16), within hours it collected Rs 1.24 crores.
