While the world is divided on who stands with who, world leaders shamelessly continue to support the occupation force”s “right to defend”. Pro-Palestine sentiments has seen a surge since the Israeli atrocities on Gaza has started to circulate widely, which can be attributed to Palestinian journalists like Motaz Azaiza. Politicians, activists, and celebrities across the globe has came forward speaking for and against the Palestinian cause.

Here are the list of Celebrities who support Palestine

The Hadids: Supermodels Bella Hadid, Gigi Hadid, their father Mohammed Hadid and brother Anwar Hadid are great supporters of Palestine. Their sentiments are rooted to their Palestinian ancestry. Mohammed Hadid was born in Palestine but had to flee their land when he was a baby due to the Israeli occupation. Recently, Bella Hadid has won dress made out of the Palestinian Kaffiyeh at one of the biggest international film festival Cannes, stressing where she stands.

Zayn Malik: Zayn Malik, the British singer and songwriter has earlier voiced his support for Palestine. Zendaya: Singer and actor, Zendaya has been added to the list of celebrities who were called to be blocked out due to their silence on the Palestinian issue. Reports suggest that Zendaya took part in donating charity to Palestine, and has used her social media platform to express solidarity with Palestine and to call for immediate humanitarian assistance in the war-battered ground.

Cristiano Ronaldo: The case of if Ronaldo support Palestine or not has been on the table for long. There has been several incidents when media alleged that Ronaldo has raised the Palestinian flag after a match, has appeared in a video footage asking the Palestinian people to be brave, and that they are the real heroes. Jenna Ortega: Jenna Ortega has been very vocal about her support for Palestine from the very beginning. Ortega not only supported Palestine, but she called out for various countries which are in conflict. Selena Gomez: Salena Gomez did not made any specific remarks on whom she supports. The American singer-songwriter however became the subject of criticism when she finally decided to break her silence on the issue. Taking to her Instagram account, the star said she could not watch the people being killed. She said, “People being tortured and killed or any act of hate towards any one group is horrific. We need to protect ALL people, especially children, and stop the violence for good”. By stating that she could not watch the “horror, hate, violence, and terror” anymore, she took a break from social media platform. She also added that she believes that her post could not make much difference. This has garnered heavy criticism.

Emma Watson: The British actress has shown support for the Palestinian cause in 2022. Taking to her Instagram account, she shared an image which showed a picture of a pro-Palestine supporter holding a banner that read “Solidarity is a Verb”. However, she has been silent on the ongoing brutal Israeli war on Palestine which started on October 7th.

Georgina Rodruguez: The Argentina-Spanish influencer and partner of Football star Cristiano Ronaldo has once posted on her Facebook account that read “pray for Palestine”, at a time when Israel unleashed its assault on the Palestinians. In October last year, when the Israel-Palestine war erupted, Rodruguez shared pictures of both Israel and Palestine. She also placed a peace emoji next to the pictures.

Weeknd: The renowned Canadian artist, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, has donated $2 million in food relief for the Palestinians of Gaza, on whom starvation and acute malnutrition has been forced by Israel as the latter blocked the entry of food, water, and fuel into the coastal enclave of Palestine. The donation was made in last December and was expected to support ” 1,500 metric tons of fortified wheat flour, which can make over 18 million loaves of bread that can help feed more than 157,000 Palestinians for one month”.

Angelina Jolie: The Oscar winning actress has been vocal about Palestine. After the war erupted, using Instagram, she released a statement saying that she “angry” at the attack on the civilians of Israel, but stressed the crisis faced by the civilians of Gaza. She stressed call for immediate humanitarian ceasefire. The star’s father Jon Voight has condemned his daughter’s stance and said that he is “very disappointed” in his daughters take on Palestine.

Mark Ruffalo: Mark Ruffalo’s voice was louder when speaking about the Palestinians. To speak about his latest move, he wore the Artist4Ceasefire’s red pin showing support for Palestine at the 96th Academy Awards. He even supported the activists who called were protesting to ‘shut down the Oscars’, by yelling “Humanity wins”, as he walked down the red carpet. He has been active on social media platform actively posting and reposting everything to Palestine to make the world understand where the actual fault lies. He even reposted an X (formerly twitter) post that called US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken “butcher Blinken”.

Billi Eilish: The American sing-writer and singer hasn’t been a vocal support of Palestine. However, lately, on the 96th Oscar award, she was one among the very few celebrities who accentuated their support for Palestine. While attending the event, she was seen wearing the red pin of Artists4Ceasfire, calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.

Dua Lipa: The Albanian singer and songwriter called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. She has grabbed headlines for after signing an open letter to US President Joe Biden, demanding a ceasefire. While saying that she feels so badly for the Israeli life lost on October 7th, she urges to look at the other side too. In 2021, she called for an end to the war took place in the year referring to it as “the ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian people”.
