The Tamil film industry is abuzz with the controversy surrounding Nayanthara‘s explosive open letter to Dhanush. The actress called out Dhanush for suing her for Rs 10 Cr over using behind-the-scenes footage from the film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan in her upcoming documentary.

Several Tamil actresses who have worked with Dhanush have reacted to Nayanthara’s statement, showing their support for her.

Shruti Haasan, who starred alongside Dhanush in the film 3 (Moonu), subtly showed her support by liking Nayanthara’s post.

Other actors like Aishwarya Rajesh (Vada Chennai), Aishwarya Lekshmi (Jagame Thandhiram), Nazriya Fahadh (Naiyaandi), Anupama Parameswaran (Kodi), Parvathy Thiruvothu (Maryan), Manjima Mohan (Nilavuku Enmel Ennadi Kobam) and Gouri G Kishan (Karnan) also liked Nayanthara’s post indicating they’re team Nayanthara.

Actor Parvathy Thiruvothu and director/actor Geethu Mohandas took it a step further by sharing the post on their Instagram Stories and saluting Nayanthara for speaking out.

Nayanthara’s documentary, “Nayanthara: Beyond The Fairy Tale,” is set to release on Netflix on November 18. The documentary will showcase the highs and lows of her life, including her love story with Vignesh Shivan which began on the sets of Naanum Rowdy Dhaan.

In her open letter, Nayanthara accused Dhanush of not responding to her request for a No-Objection Certificate (NOC) to use footage from the film in the documentary. She also took a jibe at Dhanush, seemingly calling him a hypocrite.

The controversy has sparked a heated debate with many fans and co-actors taking sides. However, Dhanush hasn’t responded to her open letter yet.

During an award show, when she received the Best Actress Filmfare Award for her performance, Nayanthara shared that Dhanush didn’t like her performance in the film. She said, “I have to say sorry to Dhanush because he absolutely hated my performance in Naanum Rowdy Dhaan. Sorry Dhanush for disappointing you. I will probably make it better next time.”
