Hina Khan Cuts Her Hair Short Amid Cance Battle, “I Choose To Win” (image-instagram/realhinakhan)
Hina Khan, known for her screen presence, has now become an inspiring figure off-screen. The actress who has been diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer has recently shared a video on Instagram of cutting her hair short.
Her mother could be heard wailing inconsolably while she tried to cheer her up. The television actress shared the news of her diagnosis last week. Though the video was emotional, Hina kept her smiling face throughout the video.

The video began with Hina sitting in front of the mirror as her friend braided her hair. Hina cut her first lock and later handed over the scissors to her stylist to finish of the process. After her final look, her mother came in hugged her, and kissed her on the cheeks.

Smiling, Hina said, “Not bad. I feel liberated”. She shared the video on Instagram along with a hear touching beautiful note, “You can hear my mother’s wailing voice in Kashmiri (blessing me) in the background as she prepared herself to witness something she never dared to imagine. Not all of us have the same tools at our disposal to manage heartbreaking emotions”.
Hina also mentioned that she is documenting her journey for all the women who are battling cancer. “And I choose to win. I have decided to give myself every chance possible to win this battle. I choose to let go of my beautiful hair before it starts falling off. I didn’t want to endure this mental breakdown for weeks. So, I choose to let go of my crown because I’ve realized my real crown is my COURAGE, my STRENGTH , and the love I have for myself. Aur haan.. I have decided to use my own hair to make a nice Wig for this phase,” she continued.

Thanking the special ones who stood by her side during her times, she wrote, “Also this day couldn’t have gone as I hoped without the presence of the people who have taken a vow to support me thru thick and thin.. MY PEOPLE @rockyj1 MOM @heenaladjoshi @manaanmeer @sachinmakeupartist1”
Hina Khan rose to fame through a popular TV show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. She was also part of television reality shows like Khatron Ke Khiladi season 8 and Bigg Boss 11.
