How Bollywood Reacted To Rhea Chakraborty's Clean Chit
Bollywood has reacted to the Central Bureau of Investigation’s (CBI) closure report, which officially cleared Rhea Chakraborty of any involvement in the tragic death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
The CBI’s report, filed on March 22, 2025, concluded that Rajput’s death was a suicide and dismissed allegations of foul play, ultimately giving a clean chit to Rhea and others who were once accused in the case.
The tragic and highly publicised death of Sushant Singh Rajput in June 2020 sparked nationwide outrage, leading to intense media coverage and public scrutiny.

Rhea Chakraborty, who had been in a relationship with Sushant at the time of his death, became the subject of harsh criticism and media trials. However, after nearly three years of investigations, the CBI’s closure report has finally put an end to these allegations.
Following the announcement, several Bollywood celebrities and industry figures took to social media to express their thoughts on the closure report and Rhea’s exoneration.
Simi Garewal Calls Out Media Trials
Veteran actor and TV host Simi Garewal, who has been vocal about the injustices faced by Rhea during the investigation, shared her thoughts online.

She condemned the media trials that Rhea was subjected to and called out the unethical behaviour of certain media personalities.
She wrote on X, “They knew Rhea was innocent. We all did. And yet these lowlives sold their souls & conscience (if they have any) just to promote a malefic agenda. I hope karma catches up with them.”

Pooja Bhatt’s Support for Rhea
Actor and filmmaker Pooja Bhatt also expressed her relief following the CBI’s clean chit to Rhea. Bhatt, a staunch supporter of the actress during the turbulent period, took to the X platform to share her thoughts:

Filmmaker Hansal Mehta Slammed Arnab Goswami
Filmmaker Hansal Mehta, known for his outspoken views was quick to respond to the CBI’s closure report. On social media, he condemned the role of certain media personalities who fueled the false narrative against her. Mehta posted an old video of Arnab Goswami on Twitter, stating, “Moron Arnab and his ilk.”
