The December 19 release Malayalam thriller Rifle Club has been hailed as director Aashiq Abu’s grand comeback, with positive reviews pouring in. Reviewers have been lauding the performance by all cast members of the movie in addition to noting the outstanding cinematography. The notable cast includes Dileesh Pothan, Vani Vishwanath, and Vijayaraghavan. Anurag Kashyap, Surabhi Lakhmi, Suresh Krishna, Vineeth Kumar, and Sooraj Cherukat, popularly known as Hanumankind, among others.
Sooraj Cherukat, or Hanumankind, made his acting debut in the film after establishing himself as a renowned rapper, especially after his sensational hit ‘Big Dawgs.’ The Bengaluru-based Malayali rapper has played the character Bheera, which had already generated buzz with the release of a poster featuring him holding a gun, giving hype to the rapper’s debut character.

Hailing from Kondotty in Malappuram, Hanumankind rose to international fame with ‘Big Dawgs,’ which ruled social media globally. During the promotional events of the movie, Rifle Club, the rapper’s presence added excitement and contour to the shows. According to a review by media house Timeline, Hanumankind had delivered a “satisfying job” in his debut role in the movie. The news portal observed that the rapper doe not represent what he is famous for as a musician in the role of Bheera by showcasing a persona suggesting wit, cultural pride and quirky approaches. Lived in various countries, including the USA, before venturing into his career as a professional rapper by performing at NH7 Weekender, Hanumankind gained widespread recognition with the release of the music video “Big Dawgs.” His song “The Last Dance” is featured on the official soundtrack for the Malayalam film Aavesham.
Aashiq Abu’s Rifle Club revolves around confrontations with guns, and the sequences are set against the backdrop of the Western Ghats, with several intense firing sequences.
