In the wake of the Wayanad landslides, which turned the state upside down with the death toll surpassing 334, various celebrities along with the people have been involved themselves in various rescue measures.

Mollywood Megastar, Mohanlal followed by his salute to the dedication of the Infantry Battalion, has joined his colleagues of the TA Madras, as he visited the military camp set up in  Meppadi, today August 3.

As per the report by PTI, this morning, the actor was seen in the uniform with his co-battalions in a video. Along with the troop, the actor is also likely to visit the landslide-hit areas of Wayanad today.

Earlier, while expressing his admiration towards the efforts of the battalions, the actor penned a note along with the images of the rescue measures on his X account. He said, “I salute the courage of the selfless volunteers, policemen, Fire & Rescue, NDRF, army soldiers, government officials, and every person working tirelessly to provide relief to the victims of the Wayanad disaster. I am grateful for the efforts of my 122 Infantry Battalion, TA Madras, who have been at the forefront of the relief mission. We have faced challenges before and emerged stronger. I pray that we stand united and show the strength of our unity in this difficult time. Jai Hind!”

Earlier, actors from the Malayalam film fraternity and outside, including Mammootty, Mohanlal, Suriya, Karthik, Jyotika, Dulquer Salmaan, Fahad Fassil, Tovino Thomas among others, have announced their contributions to Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
