Wayanad Landslides: Mammootty, Dulquer Salmaan Donate For CM Relief Fund (image: facebook.com/dcekm)

To aid the people affected by the devastating Wayanad landslides, actors Mammootty and Dulquer Salmaan contributed to the Kerala Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

Mammootty personally handed over the cheques at the Wayanad relief collection centre located at Kadavanthra Regional Sports Centre, Ernakulam. He made a donation of Rs. 20 lakh, and Dulquer Salmaan contributed Rs. 15 lakh. Mammootty has handed over Salmaan’s cheque on his behalf.

Minister P Rajeev and Ernakulam District Collector received the contributions of Mammootty and Dulquer Salman to the relief fund.

Other actors who joined hands in giving financial assistance to relief efforts include Chiyaan Vikram, Suriya, Karthi, Jyothika, and Rashmika Mandanna.

As per the latest reports, the death toll rose to at least 276, while relief and rescue operations are underway.  Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan reached Wayanad this morning and Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi visited landslide struck areas of Chooralmala, and a hospital and community health centre in Meppadi on Thursday afternoon.
